This cross is based on an archaeological find from Sady near Uherské Hradiště, in present-day Czechia, associated with Great Moravia and traditionally dated to the 9th century.
During this period, Great Moravia maintained important cultural and religious connections with the Byzantine Empire. The mission of Saints Constantine-Cyril and Methodius played a significant role in the development of Christianity and Slavic religious culture in Central Europe.
The pendant features a detailed double-sided design inspired by the historical cross.
The reverse bears an inscription represented in the reconstruction as:
